This is the home of the online journals and musings of my American history students at Groves High School in Beverly Hills, Michigan begun in the fall of 2006. At this site, students will share their thoughts and feelings about the topics in American history that interest them. They will respond to journals as well as be responsible for posting once a week. I hope you enjoy your visit, and please feel free to leave a comment or two.

I am with the fact we need to enforce our border but I disagree that we need to do it the way that ICE is doing it now and taking family members that are pulled from their homes for nothing more than a speeding ticket. But if we had had stronger rules back when there were more people coming in then now, then we would not need to have a program such as Ice. If we had enforced the law or made it clearer with green cards then we would not have as many people here illegally. This would make it so that we would not have to use programs like ICE. But people will still forget so we could still keep them from being illegal by either giving them a phone call or sending someone over to tell them that their green card is about to expire. Or we could have just enforced the border with a stronger will and put a limit on how many people came in to the country then we might not have this problem with immigration. I am tot a saying that we should stop all flow of immigration because my grandfather is an immigrant from Italy. But we should have done some more to avoid this problem.
I am sorry if this is not what you want this is what I under stood about it.
